Fad Diet Series: Breatharian Diet

Although there are many people trying this supposed fad diet, it isn’t actually a diet: it’s more like a cult practice. Breatharians are a religious cult that believes people can live on spiritual energy alone without the need for food.

This is a dangerous diet that may result in weight loss, but ultimately results in death.

What Breatharians Believe

According to the Breatharian Institute of America, Breatharians believe that humans are actually five dimensional creatures who got trapped on three dimensional earth after millions of years vacationing here. Creatures from 5D earth don’t need to eat or drink, but they began to as part of the immersive experience of their vacation, which gave them exquisite pleasure that they became addicted to. Having become addicted to the thrill of visiting 3D Earth, they pushed their visits longer and longer, until they could no longer leave without help.

The supposed apocalypse that was supposed to occur on December 21, 2012 was in the form of help from 5D Earth to help lift people back up to their 5D plane of existence. Supposedly, this apocalypse actually happened, but there’s a kind of “grace period” to let people continue to purge their bodies of negative vibrations associated with bad 3D habits like eating.

It should be noted that the Breatharian Institute of America advocates a diet of double quarter pounders with cheese and Diet Coke because these foods have 5D frequencies.

Other Breatharians advocate eating nothing at all, but trying to live off the power of prana, or life force.

Does the Breatharian Diet Work?

Yes, sort of. The traditional Breatharian diet where you don’t eat anything will create a calorie deficit that will lead you to lose weight. Unfortunately, it will eventually lead to death. If you don’t eat, your body will eventually use up its reserves, and your tissues will suffer damage, and, finally give out due to dehydration or famine. Several people have died attempting this diet.

As far as the Breatharian 5D diet, it seems likely that you would die as well. McDonald’s double quarter pounders with cheese and Diet Coke don’t have all the nutrients you need to survive. You would be lacking in many essentials, and you would suffer from a dangerous excess of saturated fats and sodium.

Steer Clear of Cult Fads

If you are looking for a healthy way to lose weight, then it’s important to work with someone who can help you cut many calories out of your diet without sacrificing nutrients. This will give you new healthy eating habits you can keep up for a lifetime to lose weight and keep it off for a long, happy life.
